COMPOSITION KITS
Both kits provide a wealth of information and reference material which is useful throughout a compositionl process. There's lots of information and ideas for beginners alongside informative reference materials for the more experienced composer. Whilst the Kits have been used in the compositional process, they have been noted for their value in terms of enhancing knowledge of musical theory and literacy.
COMPOSITION KIT 1 This kit contains ideas for starting to write music; how to address the blank page, how to create small pieces of musical material, how to put material together. There are project ideas for writing for ensemble and writing as a player within an ensemble. There is also an invaluable reference section which contains information on different types of notation, musical theory, FAQs and information about all orchestral instruments. It also contains sections on common musical terms, key signatures, clefs, notes and rest and much more musical theory. All of this in one book is invaluable for classroom teachers and students alike and can be easily used as a resource for individuals working on their own. £10
